Anne and Kelly in Charlotte

After traveling to weddings the past two weekends it was nice to be back in Charlotte for Anne and Kelly's wedding on Saturday.
It was a beautiful, warm October day with brilliant sunshine as the couple exchanged vows at Belk Chapel at Queens University. The Bonterra Dining and Wine Room hosted the early afternoon reception.
Catherine Bell of Marry Me Productions did a great job keeping things organized and the Cookie Band provided some smooth background music for the low-key event.
Anne and Kelly and their families were so laid-back it made everything so enjoyable.
I was also impressed when the pair ended their day by going to the hospital to visit Anne's grandmother who had broken her hip a few days earlier. She was so disappointed to miss the wedding and you could tell how much it meant when they stopped to visit.
Thanks so much for everything and have a great time in Italy!

A Beautiful Dance

I had the pleasure of working with Caroline and Ted Saturday. The two Carolina grads live in the Boston area but they had their wedding here in Charlotte at the Belk Chapel.
Caroline is an amazing dancer and she was on the UNC dance squad in college. The reception, held at Byron's South End, was a lively event with tons of great dancing. Caroline even did a special dance for her new husband. Joey and Kristen, a fun DJ crew from Split Second Sound, did an awesome job of keeping everyone moving from the "So You Think You Can Dance" contest through the couple's last dance.
Caroline and Ted were both so much fun to work with and everyone had a great time.
Thanks for everything and good luck!
