Jennifer's Portrait

Betsy and I travelled to Lincolnton Saturday to take bridal portraits at the home of our friends Mark and Diane.
Jennifer is marrying their son, Hammett, in a few weeks and we appreciate them letting us use their beautiful house for the shoot.
Mark and I worked together at The Charlotte Observer for many years and I'm really looking forward to documenting their celebration. Mark, who is responsible for supplying the Observer's photographers with all of the latest equipment, is very good with a camera and he took a few pictures during the shoot.
Jennifer looked classically beautiful in an heirloom dress first worn by her grandmother.
We don't want to show too many of the photos but here are a couple of early favorites.

Kelli & Brian

Kelli and Brian had a beautiful wedding Saturday at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in Charlotte.
After a much-needed day of rain on Friday, we got lucky with some excellent, cooler weather for the wedding.
Kelli and Brian were so laid-back and easy to work with and we had fun running around uptown Charlotte taking photos at the Wachovia Plaza and at Trade and Tryon Streets. It was no easy task either as we had to dodge traffic and congestion from a barbecue and blues festival.
The reception was lively affair as Brian's Pittsburgh relatives partied with Kelli's New Orleans family at Byron's South End.
I feel so fortunate to get to work with such fantastic clients - they make what I do so enjoyable.
Good luck to you guys and have a great time in Curacao!

Fantastic weekend in Winston

I had a great trip to Winston-Salem this weekend which could only have been better if the Wake Forest football team had been able to pull off the upset against Nebraska on Saturday.
I worked with two wonderful families as I covered Katie and William's rehearsal dinner Friday and their wedding on Saturday.
William's family hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Old Town Club as everyone gathered for food, drinks, music and some great speeches.
Following the wedding ceremony at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, the guests traveled to Forsyth Country Club. Social director Sally Anglin did a great job keeping the party on track with some help from Atlanta band Complete Desire.
Thanks to our Company Photographer Laura Mueller for helping at the wedding.
And thank you to Katie, William and their families. It was my pleasure working with you all.
